I was taught macrame whilst at school in the mid seventies and have loved it ever since. I am a trained nail technician and during Covid when I couldn’t open my salon I revisited my passion for knotting.
I love the versatility of macrame and the range of cords I can use. I use anything from the finest cords to make delicate jewellery right up to chunky thick cotton cords to make larger pieces like my metre wide elephant, always using recycled yarns wherever possible. I love the challenge of a commission (hence the elephant) and so far haven’t said no to anything I have been asked to make.
I live in the beautiful North Cornwall village of Week St Mary with my husband and cocker spaniel.
