I have been an avid sew-er, or sewist (is that a word?) since my early teens and have throughout my life made many of my own cloths. In 2019 I celebrated my 60th Birthday and my sister took me to the American Museum in Bath to a Kaffe Fassett Quilt exhibition. Well that did it for me, I was so enthralled by the techniques and admired the complexity of both the modern and antique quilts on display…… I needed to learn the skills myself.
I am lucky enough to have now realised my lifelong dream of living in this creative and beautiful corner of England moving here in 2017. I currently work as the school secretary at Boscastle Primary School and know and love the village and it’s families well.
I find nothing more relaxing after a busy day at school than to get home, put the kettle on for a cuppa then retreat to my sewing studio. More often than not I get totally engrossed in a project and wonder why at 9pm my tummy is rumbling for a long forgotten tea!
I hope, if you decide to purchase one of my creations, that it will give you as much pleasure as it gave me in the making.
